This policy covers the Creator Cam app on iPhone, published by Navritto Solutions Private Limited. It is separate from the privacy policy for navritto.com, which covers the website.
In short: Creator Cam records your video and photos entirely on your iPhone and never uploads them — your recordings stay on your device, under your control. The app has no user accounts and no analytics. It is free and supported by advertisements from Google AdMob, so it connects to the internet to fetch those ads; to serve them Google may collect limited data such as an advertising identifier and an approximate location. Where the law requires it you are asked to consent first, and iPhone also asks whether the app may track you — the app works the same either way.
1. Who we are
Creator Cam is published by Navritto Solutions Private Limited (“Navritto”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Haryana, India. For the limited advertising data described below, Navritto is the data controller and Google is our advertising partner.
2. What Creator Cam collects
The app itself collects nothing. Navritto runs no server and no account system, and your videos, photos and audio are never sent to us.
The one exception is advertising. Creator Cam is free and shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, and to do that the ad component collects some data through Google — see “Advertising” below. Creator Cam does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or the content of your recordings.
3. Permissions and why they are needed
Camera
Required to show the viewfinder and record video and photos. The camera is used only while you are in the app, and a file is written only after you press record or take a photo.
Microphone
Required to record the audio track of your videos. Audio is captured only during an active recording.
Photos — adding only
Creator Cam asks only for permission to SAVE your finished videos and photos to your Photos library. It does not ask to read, browse or import your existing photos.
App Tracking Transparency
Before any ad uses a cross-app advertising identifier, iPhone asks whether Creator Cam may track you. The app works the same whether you allow it or not; if you decline, you simply see non-personalised ads.
Nothing else
Creator Cam asks for no location, contacts, or other personal data. It has no account and runs no background service.
4. What is stored on your device
Recordings and photos
Each take produces two finished videos, one landscape and one portrait, and taking a photo saves a landscape and a portrait image the same way. They are written first to the app’s own storage, and then — once you allow access — copied into your Photos library automatically as they save, so they appear in your camera roll like anything else you shoot. This is on by default and can be switched off in Settings, in which case they stay in the app until you save or share them yourself. While it is on, each take exists in both places and uses storage twice. Either way they are your media: they are never uploaded anywhere.
Settings
Your preferences — default lens, grid overlay, exposure, HDR, microphone gain, and your ad-consent choice — are saved locally, in the app’s own storage on your device. They contain no personal information and never leave the device.
Temporary files
Incomplete files left behind by an interrupted recording are detected and deleted automatically the next time the app starts.
5. Advertising
Creator Cam is free and supported by advertising from Google AdMob (Google’s mobile ads service). You may see a full-screen ad after you save a video take, with a gap of several saves and a few minutes between ads. You can also choose to watch a short rewarded video from the app’s Settings to remove ads for 24 hours. There are no ads while you record, and taking photos never triggers an ad.
To serve these ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process — as a separate data controller — a device advertising identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your interactions with the ads, and technical diagnostics about the device and the ad request. Google uses this to show and measure ads, limit how often you see them, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Where the law requires consent — such as in the EEA and the UK — Creator Cam shows a Google-certified consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) the first time you open the app. On iPhone, before an advertising identifier can be used to track you across apps, iOS also shows its own App Tracking Transparency prompt. Personalised ads are shown only if you agree to both; otherwise you see non-personalised ads. Where that choice applies, a “Privacy options” control appears in the app’s Settings so you can review or change your consent at any time, and Apple’s install-measurement framework (SKAdNetwork) lets Google measure ad performance without identifying you.
How Google handles this data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and its advertising terms (business.safety.google/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
6. Legal basis (EEA / UK)
For users in the EEA and the UK: where ads are personalised, our and Google’s legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Where ads are non-personalised, the basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in funding a free app while keeping data to the minimum an ad needs. Running the app itself involves no personal data.
7. Who the data is shared with
The only third party is Google, which provides the AdMob advertising and the consent form. Navritto does not receive your advertising identifier or location — only aggregated, anonymised ad statistics — and we do not sell your personal data. The app store you installed Creator Cam from may separately collect installs and (if you opt in) diagnostics under its own privacy policy.
If you choose to share or open a recording using another app — a gallery, an editor, a messaging or social app — that file is then handled by that app under its own privacy policy, which Creator Cam does not control.
8. International transfers
Google is a global provider and may process advertising data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Google states that it relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and related safeguards for such transfers.
9. Retention and deletion
Navritto stores no personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Advertising data is held by Google for the periods set out in its privacy policy; you can manage or delete ad data in your Google account (myadcenter.google.com).
- Change or withdraw your ad-consent choice at any time from the app’s Settings (About & Legal).
- Review or revoke tracking permission, and reset the advertising identifier, in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security.
- Revoke camera, microphone or Photos access at any time in your device’s Settings for Creator Cam.
- Deleting Creator Cam removes the app and its settings. Videos already saved to your Photos library are your own media and are intentionally left in place; delete them from your library if you no longer want them.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR (EEA/UK) and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to it, and to withdraw consent. Because Navritto holds no personal data about you, exercise these rights over advertising data through Google (myadcenter.google.com); for anything else, write to info@navritto.com.
You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority — for example the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, your supervisory authority in the EEA (Article 77 GDPR), or the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children’s privacy
Creator Cam is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the advertising is never based on anything you record.
12. Security
Your recordings are protected by the same platform security that protects the rest of your device’s storage, including device encryption. Your recordings are never transmitted; only the ad request goes online, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a revised “last updated” date. Material changes will be described clearly and will not be applied retroactively to recordings already made.
14. Contact
Questions about this policy or the app can be sent to info@navritto.com. We aim to respond to privacy enquiries within 30 days.
