Strip hidden metadata
from your photos.
Remove GPS location, camera make and model, timestamps, and other hidden EXIF/XMP metadata from your images before you share them. The strip is lossless — the photo's pixels are copied through untouched — and it all runs on your device, so nothing is ever uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
- Are my photos uploaded to a server?
- No. Every image is processed locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Once this page has loaded you can go offline and it still works. You can confirm it yourself by opening your browser's Network tab — no image data leaves the page while you clean a photo.
- Does removing metadata reduce image quality?
- No — the strip is completely lossless. The tool does not re-encode or recompress the picture. It surgically removes only the metadata segments (EXIF, XMP, comments, timestamps) and copies the compressed image data through byte-for-byte, so the decoded pixels are identical to the original. Only the hidden data is gone.
- What metadata does it remove?
- GPS coordinates, camera make and model, the date and time a photo was taken, editing software, author/copyright and caption fields, and other EXIF, XMP and IPTC data, plus embedded comments and timestamps. It keeps the parts that affect how the image looks — the JFIF/ICC color profile — so colors are unchanged. Before you download, it shows you exactly what it found and removed.
- Which image formats are supported?
- JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP. For JPEG it removes the EXIF and XMP (APP1), IPTC (APP13) and comment segments; for PNG it drops the tEXt, zTXt, iTXt, eXIf and tIME chunks; for WebP it removes the EXIF and XMP chunks from the container. HEIC and other formats aren't supported yet.
- Can I clean several photos at once?
- Yes. Drop a whole batch and each image is cleaned on your device, one after another, with a per-file summary of what was removed. You can download each cleaned image on its own, or grab the whole set as a single ZIP.
- Does it work on phones and offline?
- Yes. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, and keeps working offline once the page has loaded. There's nothing to install and no account to create.
