These are the terms of use for the Android app Finnish Exam (package com.ykicivics.finlandcitizenship), published by Navritto Solutions Private Limited. How the app handles your data is set out in its privacy policy.
In short: Finnish Exam is an independent study aid for the YKI language test and Finland's citizenship test — it is not a government service and it guarantees no result. Most of it is free; some content is a subscription billed by Google Play, which you can cancel there at any time. These terms set out the account, the purchase, and what you can expect — and they do not take away the consumer rights your own country's law gives you.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Navritto Solutions Private Limited (“Navritto”, “we”), the publisher of the Finnish Exam app. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. They work alongside the app's privacy policy and Google Play's own terms.
2. What the app is — and is not
Finnish Exam is an independent learning tool for people preparing for the Finnish National Certificate of Language Proficiency (YKI) and Finland's citizenship test. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus / OPH), the Finnish Immigration Service (Maahanmuuttovirasto / Migri), the University of Jyväskylä, or the Government of Finland.
Practising in the app produces no certificate, grade or qualification, guarantees no exam result, and is not a substitute for the official examinations or for advice from the authorities. Grades shown in the app are estimates from your own practice, clearly labelled as such. Always check the official sources for current exam dates, fees, rules and citizenship requirements — they are the authority; this app is not.
3. Your account
You can use the free content without an account. Signing in with Google is optional and only saves your progress so it follows you to a new phone. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your sign-in. You can delete your account and the progress tied to it at any time — see the account-deletion page — and how we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy.
4. Free content, premium content and payment
Part of the app is free. Some content is premium, available through an auto-renewing subscription sold and billed by Google Play — not by us. The price and billing period are those shown in Google Play at the time you subscribe; we never see or store your payment details.
A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it, and the cost of the next period is charged shortly before it begins. You manage and cancel a subscription in Google Play (Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions); cancelling stops future renewals and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have paid for.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Because Google Play is the seller, refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy, and a subscription can only be stopped through Google Play — only Google can end a payment.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Where you ask for and agree to immediate access to premium content, you acknowledge that this right can be lost once access has begun, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here removes any mandatory refund or withdrawal right your local law gives you.
6. Acceptable use
The app is for your own personal, non-commercial study. Please do not copy, redistribute, resell or scrape its questions, explanations or other content; do not attempt to unlock premium content without paying; and do not interfere with or misuse the service or try to disrupt it for others.
7. Intellectual property
The app and its content — questions, explanations, audio, text and design — are owned by Navritto or used under licence, and are protected by intellectual-property law. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use them for your own study through the app. Facts about the exams themselves are drawn from public official sources, which are cited in the app and its store listing.
8. Disclaimer — no warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we work to keep the material accurate and useful, we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, always available, or that it reflects the very latest official rules — exam structures and requirements can change, so verify anything that matters with OPH and Migri. This does not exclude any warranty that the law does not allow us to exclude.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Navritto is not liable for exam outcomes, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the applicable law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to the app and these terms
We may update the app and, from time to time, these terms. If we make a material change we will update the date above and publish the new version at this address before it takes effect; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, where Navritto is registered. If you use the app as a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live.
