LuxNationality Terms of Use

What this is

LuxNationality is a study app for your phone, published by Navritto Solutions Private Limited (“Navritto”, “we”). It helps you learn Luxembourgish and prepare for the Sproochentest with short lessons, speaking practice, exam-style listening and a review feature, with help in English, Portuguese and French. It needs no account.

By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use it. They sit alongside the app's privacy policy and the terms of the app store you installed it from.

Not a government service, and not the official test

LuxNationality is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the INL (Institut National des Langues), which runs the Sproochentest, or the Luxembourg government or any Luxembourg authority. The Sproochentest is set and marked only through the official process. Using LuxNationality produces no certificate, result, language level or official status, and has no effect on any nationality application.

Only the official Sproochentest decides your result. Exam rules and details can change, so always confirm the latest with the INL before your exam. LuxNationality does not provide legal or immigration advice; for advice about your own case, consult a qualified professional or the competent authority.

No guarantee of a result

Studying with LuxNationality does not guarantee that you will pass the Sproochentest or reach any particular level — that is decided by the official test on its own criteria. The feedback the app gives you is a practice aid, not an assessment of your level. We work to keep the lessons and exam information accurate and to base it on official sources, but we cannot guarantee it matches the test you sit, so treat the app as practice and confirm anything important with the INL.

How the app is paid for, and that this can change

LuxNationality is free to start, and an optional Premium subscription unlocks all the lessons, speaking topics, pictures and listening exercises, with no advertising either way. The subscription is offered on a 3-month or 12-month plan; it is sold and billed by the app store you installed from, renews automatically unless cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time in your app store account. Navritto runs no server to process or validate it — the app store on your device is the source of truth, and you can restore a purchase from the app. How the app is funded may change in future; any such change would arrive in a future version and be described at the time.

Your practice is yours

Your progress, and the recordings you make, are yours and stay on your device. Navritto claims no ownership of them and does not receive them. When you use the topic-question speaking practice, the recording you make is sent to a Luxembourg language service to be turned into text so you can see what you said; the app tells you this before you record, and the privacy policy explains it in full.

Using it fairly

You are free to use LuxNationality to prepare for yourself. What we ask is that you use the app itself fairly: please do not copy, resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer it, and do not misuse it or use it to break the law. The app itself — its software, design, name, lessons and the way its content is organised — belongs to Navritto or is used by us under licence. Installing the app gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it on your own devices.

Availability

The free lessons' audio is built into the app and works without a connection. A connection is needed to transcribe a speaking answer, to download other audio, lessons and pictures, and to buy or restore a subscription. We may stop updating the app, or remove it from the app store, at any time and without notice. If we do, a copy already installed on your phone keeps working under the terms it came with, as far as the services it relies on remain available.

What we are responsible for

LuxNationality is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to make it reliable and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will be free of faults, available at all times, or that every lesson, model answer or exam detail is complete and up to date at the moment you use it. The transcription, audio and other features depend on outside services that may be unavailable or change. Always verify anything that matters with the INL.

To the extent the law allows, Navritto is not liable for an exam result, a nationality outcome, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms removes or limits anything that cannot lawfully be removed or limited — including any warranty implied by law and your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, where Navritto is registered. If you use the app as a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will change the date above and publish the new version at this address before it takes effect; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.

In short: the app has no account, no ads and no analytics, and your progress and recordings stay on your device — the one thing that leaves is a speaking recording you submit, sent to a Luxembourg language service to be turned into text, and the app downloads lessons and audio from Google's Firebase Storage. These terms and that policy are meant to be read together.
