This policy covers the Android app Taptive (package com.utility.taptive), published by Navritto Solutions Private Limited. It is separate from the privacy policy for navritto.com, which covers the website.
In short: Taptive has no accounts and no way to identify you as a person — we never ask for your name, email, or phone number. It is not a zero-data app, though: to make your short links keep working, it stores the links you create and a device identifier it generates on our servers, and the free version shows non-personalised ads from Google AdMob inside the app. Taptive never sells or shares your data, never rewrites the tracking or affiliate parameters in your links, and never shows ads to the people who tap them.
1. Information we collect
Taptive has no user accounts, so it never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or a password, and it has no way to identify you as a person. To make short links work, it does store the following:
Links you create
For each link: the destination URL you pasted, the short code we generate, a click count, and the time you created it. These are stored on our servers so your links keep redirecting even when your phone is off.
A device identifier we generate
On first launch the app creates a key inside your phone’s secure hardware. We store a short fingerprint derived from the public half of that key — your “creator ID” — so we know which links are yours. It is not linked to you, your Google account, your advertising ID, or any other identifier, and the private half of the key never leaves your device.
Click information, in aggregate
When someone opens one of your links we record that a click happened, and the type of device and app it came from, so we can send them to the right place. We do not store the visitor’s IP address, and we do not build a profile of anyone who taps your links.
2. Permissions and why they are needed
Internet
Required to save the links you create so they keep redirecting when your phone is off, and to route each tap to the right app.
Advertising ID — deliberately not requested
Taptive is built so that it never requests or holds your device’s advertising ID. It asks Google only for non-personalised ads, which is why it does not need that identifier or a consent prompt for it.
Nothing else is requested
Taptive asks for no access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or files. The only permission it declares is internet access.
3. Advertising
The free version of Taptive shows banner advertisements supplied by Google AdMob.
Taptive requests non-personalised ads only. That means AdMob is instructed not to use your advertising profile to choose which ads you see. Google may still collect limited technical information needed to serve and measure an ad — for example your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device type, and whether an ad was shown — as described in Google’s own privacy policy. Google acts as an independent data controller for this, at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads appear only inside the Taptive app. No advertising is ever shown to the people who tap your links — their tap goes straight to the destination.
4. What Taptive does not do
- No account, no email address, no phone number, no password.
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
- We do not add, remove, or alter the tracking or affiliate parameters in your links — whatever you paste is exactly what the visitor’s browser or app receives, and we never insert our own affiliate codes.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
5. Data retention and deletion
Links and their click counts are kept until you delete the link or uninstall the app.
Because there is no account, deletion works differently from most apps: your link list is tied to the key on your device. If you uninstall Taptive or reset your phone, that key is destroyed and you permanently lose the ability to see or manage your links. Any links you have already shared will keep redirecting, because their destinations live on our servers, not on your phone.
To delete a specific link, use the delete action in the app. To delete everything, delete each link before you uninstall.
6. Children’s privacy
Taptive is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Security
The key that identifies your links is generated inside your phone’s secure hardware — hardware-backed on devices that support it — and cannot be exported from the device. All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a revised “last updated” date, and the version shown in the app will change to match. Material changes will be described clearly.
