  One take → a 16:9 and a 9:16 file

  Press record once and two separate MP4 files are written at the same time, both 1080p at 30fps and hardware-encoded side by side. Both are on the phone the moment you press stop — there is no export step and nothing to crop afterwards.

  Both cut from the full sensor, neither re-cropped

  Most dual-format workflows crop a portrait clip out of a landscape one, which leaves one of the two a zoomed-in compromise. CreatorCam records the full 4:3 sensor frame and cuts both outputs from it, so the landscape file keeps the sensor’s full width and the portrait file keeps its full height.

  Frame-aligned for a multicam timeline

  One microphone track and one shared clock drive both encoders, so the two files stay frame-aligned and drop straight onto a multicam timeline without nudging them into sync.

  Zebras, focus peaking, pause/resume

  Zebra stripes flag blown highlights and focus peaking shows what is critically sharp — monitoring aids only, never burned into your files. You can also pause and resume without ending the take, and use a 3s or 10s self-timer, a rule-of-thirds grid, tap to focus, and pinch to zoom.

  No internet permission — footage cannot leave the device

  The app does not declare Android’s internet permission at all, so the operating system blocks any network access. That is a technical guarantee rather than a promise: there is no account, no analytics, no ads, and no way for the app to upload a recording.
