How to play Mahayodha
Mahayodha is a run-and-jump action platformer. Move with the arrow keys or A and D (or the on-screen pad on a phone), and jump with Space, W, the up arrow, or the Jump button — hold the button for a higher leap, tap it for a short hop.
Swing your gada (a mace) with J, X, or the Attack button to smash the asuras — the demon footmen, chargers, and archers in your way. You can also defeat most enemies by landing on them from above, but the bull-horned chargers must be maced or baited, never stomped.
Collect the gold pots scattered along the road for points, and touch a shrine checkpoint so that a fall or a hit sends you back there instead of to the start. You have three hearts; lose them all and the run ends.
Reach the goal gate at the end of a stage to clear it. At the end of a world, a rakshasa warlord blocks the way instead — it only takes damage in the brief stunned window right after its telegraphed slam or charge, so dodge first, then swing.
Choose your mode on the start screen: play the authored Adventure chapters in order, or take on the Daily challenge — a fresh seeded run that's the same for everyone that day, tracking a local streak and best.

Tips
- Hold the jump button to clear wide gaps and tall ledges; a quick tap is enough for a small step, and cutting the jump short drops you faster.
- Stomp footmen and archers from above, but meet a charger with the gada or sidestep its rush — its horns can't be stomped.
- Grab every gold pot you can and always take the checkpoint shrine; a fall then costs far less.
- Against the rakshasa, wait out its wind-up, dodge the shockwaves or hurled rocks, and only swing during the stun that follows — hitting its armour just clangs off.
- Play the Daily for a run everyone shares that day, and come back tomorrow to keep the streak alive.

You run, leap, and swing a gada — the mace of Indian myth — through ranks of asuras (demon footmen, chargers, and archers) to a rakshasa warlord who guards each world, a boss you beat by reading its telegraphed slams and charges and striking in the stun that follows. It is built to play instantly in the browser with no install and no account, on a keyboard or with a full set of on-screen touch controls you can move to either hand, and the canvas fills the screen in portrait or landscape. There are two ways to play: the authored Adventure chapters, and a Daily challenge — a seeded run stitched from the game's level pieces that is identical for everyone that day, with a local streak and best score saved on your device.
