How to play Mosaic

  1. A beautiful square scene is cut into a grid of tiles and scrambled. Rebuild the picture by swapping tiles: tap one tile to select it — it glows — then tap another and the two trade places. It's a free swap of any two tiles, not a sliding puzzle, so you're never boxed in.

  2. On a computer you can also drag one tile onto another to swap them, and the whole board is keyboard-playable: arrow keys move a cursor, Space or Enter selects and swaps.

  3. Stuck on where a tile goes? Hold the Peek button — or press and hold P, or long-press the board — to fade in the finished picture for as long as you hold, then let go to return to your scramble.

  4. The board is solved the moment it looks complete, so identical patches of sky or water never trap you. Solve the daily scene to grow your streak, or open the Gallery for free play — pick any scene at 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, or 6×6.

Tips

  • Start with the corners and edges — an edge tile has a straight border, so it's the easiest to place with confidence.
  • Group by colour and light first: gather all the sky tiles up top and the ground tiles at the bottom, then fine-tune within each band.
  • Use Peek sparingly to check a region you're unsure about, then swap from memory — it's more satisfying than solving with it held.
  • On the daily, fewer swaps and a faster time are worth chasing, since it's the same scene and scramble for everyone that day.

About Mosaic

Mosaic is Navritto's daily picture puzzle — a jigsaw-style image scramble you rebuild by swapping tiles, built to play instantly in the browser. A gorgeous square scene is cut into a grid and shuffled; you tap two tiles to trade their places (a free swap of any two, friendlier than a sliding puzzle) until the picture is whole, and on the last swap it blooms. There's one daily scene at 4×4 that's the same for everyone that day — with a deterministic shuffle, so a solve is worth comparing — plus a gallery of scenes for free play at 3×3 up to 6×6. It reads a board as solved the instant it looks complete, using a perceptual check, so a flat sky or calm water never traps you; you can hold Peek to glimpse the finished image, and it fills the screen on phone and desktop alike. It needs no install or account, works with touch, mouse, or the keyboard, and saves your daily streak, your best swaps and time per scene, and which scenes you've completed on your device. The scenes are original AI-generated art, honestly labelled as such — never photographs of real places. Mosaic joins Lexicon, Sudoku, Cascade and the rest of Navritto Games as one more calm, daily puzzle in the set.

How do you play the picture puzzle Mosaic?
A square scene is cut into a grid and scrambled. Tap a tile to select it, then tap another to swap the two, and keep swapping until the picture is whole. It's a free swap of any two tiles — a friendlier alternative to a sliding puzzle — and the board is solved the moment it looks complete.
Is the daily Mosaic the same for everyone?
Yes. Each day picks one scene at 4×4 with a deterministic shuffle, so everyone gets the identical daily puzzle and a solve is worth comparing. Completing it grows your streak, and there's a gallery of scenes for free play at 3×3 up to 6×6.
Does Mosaic work on mobile?
Yes. Mosaic works on phones and tablets — tap two tiles to swap, or long-press to peek at the finished picture — and on desktop with the mouse (drag to swap) or the keyboard. The board fills the screen either way.
Are the Mosaic pictures real photos?
No. Every Mosaic scene is original AI-generated art, honestly labelled as such in the game — it is decorative puzzle art, never a photograph of a real place.
