Puzzle
Tessera
Drop blocks onto the grid to complete rows and columns and clear them — plan ahead and chain combos for a bigger score.
A block puzzle in the 1010 and Block Blast lineage — drop the pieces, clear the lines, keep the board open — built to play right in your browser.
How to play Tessera
You get three block pieces at a time — squares, lines, and little L and T shapes. Drag a piece onto the grid and it locks wherever it fits.
Fill an entire row or column and it clears, freeing up space and scoring points. Clear more than one line at once for a combo bonus.
When you've placed all three pieces, three new ones arrive. There is no timer and nothing falls — just you and the board.
The game ends when none of your three pieces can fit anywhere. The longer you keep the board open, the higher you score.
Controls
- Drag (finger or mouse)
- Carry a piece onto the grid
- Release
- Drop the piece on the highlighted cells
- Tap / Space (on game over)
- Start a new board
Tips
- Keep the board as empty as you can — clearing lines is only possible when there's room for the bigger pieces.
- Work toward clearing a row and a column at the same time for a combo; the bonus grows with each extra line.
- Leave one flexible open region rather than scattering single gaps — awkward one-cell holes are what strand you.
- Look at all three pieces before placing the first; the order you drop them in often decides whether the third one fits.
About Tessera
Tessera is Navritto's block puzzle — the drag-and-fit, line-clearing game in the 1010 and Block Blast lineage — built to play instantly in the browser. Three pieces at a time, drag them onto an 8×8 board, and complete rows or columns to clear them; there is no timer and nothing falls, so it is a pure, calm game of spatial planning that ends only when nothing more will fit. On a phone the piece lifts above your finger with a live preview so you can always see where it lands. It needs no install or account, fills the screen on phone and desktop, and saves your best score on your device. Tessera joins Prism, Doubler and the rest of Navritto Games with the same bright board and a satisfying flash on every line you clear.
